Gateway LT3103 11.6-inch Netbook with AMD Athlon Processor and Windows Vista Home Basic Operating System

Gateway LT3103 11.6″ Netbook Review: The Gateway LT3103 11.6″ Netbook is a bit unorthodox compared to usual netbooks with a high resolution of 1366 x 768 (WXGA). Among laptops/notebooks, netbooks usually come with small display sizes like the Acer Aspire One D250 10.1-Inch Netbook and Asus EEE PC 900 8.9″ Netbook while the Gateway LT3103 is an 11.6-inch netbook. Another significant thing to mention in its review is the Gateway LT3103 netbook’s AMD Athlon 64 processor instead of Intel Atom that is common among netbooks. It also comes with Windows Vista Home Basic than the usual XP. Another great features of the netbook is its full-size keyboard that is likened to the Acer Aspire One 751h (or Acer AO751h).

Great but there are a few downsides revealed in the Gateway LT3103 11.6-Inch Netbook review. One of which is its battery life that lasts for 4 hours or may range at 3-5 hours depending on use. Another observation among users is that the Gateway LT3103 11.6″ Netbook tends to overheat like the Acer 6292 notebook when used for a continuous hour.

Overall, the Gateway LT3103 11.6-Inch Netbook is a good netbook for the usual typing and web browsing. For gaming, it is not that great considering it only has a speed of 1.2GHz but still playable. However, it gets a bit blurry at high-speed movements. Considering its price, the Gateway LT3103 11.6-Inch Netbook has integrated impressive features and specs for a netbook that comes only at a starting price of $300.
