Battlefield 1943 from Battlefield Series of video games was launched last June 8-9, 2009 for both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 gaming consoles. The Microsoft Windows or PC version of Battlefield 1943 is yet to come later this year.

Battle 1943 has 3 battlefield maps for PS3 and 4 in the Xbox 360 version. In Battlefield PS3, the three main battlefield maps are Iwo Jima, Wake Island and Guadalcanal, while Xbox 360 has an additional map that will be unlocked – Coral Sea.
