Nook eReader is currently considered the best eBook Reader available in the market today. Barnes and Noble’s Nook is the first Android-based eBook reader and has lot of additional features that aren’t available in Amazon’s Kindle 2 eBook Reader. The competition between Barnes and Noble’s Nook and Amazon’s Kindle led the two companies to drop the eBook readers’ prices.

Nook Wi-Fi and Nook 3G + Wi-Fi eReader Prices

Nook with Wi-Fi eReader only cost $149 with FREE shipping if purchased from Barnes and Noble online store. The Nook eReader with Wi-Fi plus Free 3G on the other hand used to cost $259 but has dropped it to $199. Since Kindle Ebook Reader with Free 3G is trying to compete with Nook 3G + Wi-Fi, Amazon also dropped its price to $189.

Barnes and Noble’s Nook Wi-Fi and Nook 3G + Wi-Fi eBook readers‘ general features are basically similar. The main difference is the presence of free 3G wireless access capabilities in the Nook 3G + Wi-Fi eReader. Other than its Android OS 1.4, here are the main features that make the Nook eReader exceptional:

• Over one million eBooks
• Read more than 500,000 eBooks FREE in Barnes and Noble stores
• Nook can be personalized with photos and stylish accessories
• Nook has a virtually unlimited using microSD expansion slot.
• Share eBook with friends through its exclusive LendMe technology that allows sharing between Nook to other wireless reading devices such as to a fellow Nook, iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch, BlackBerry, PC, Mac OS and soon in to select Android smartphones.
